The birdwatcher is freed from details. Seeing himself as an integral part of nature, he relates to it intimately, respectfully; a bond made so much stronger by the thrill of what he does.
Even for those living the high life, the greatest luxury is still the simple satisfaction of being alone. The simple proof that the relationship between oneself and nature still exists.
It is this relationship, considered primordial by aforestdesign, that led to the recent collaboration with Burel brand. Burel was hatched in the Serra da Estrela, developing from a social project aimed at stimulating the production and marketing of products from the town of Manteigas.
"The Birdwatchers" is a collection of products, accessories and some items of clothing in Burel, the traditional Portuguese 100% wool fabric, woven in the old Império mill, which is still working in Manteigas.
The colours of the Serra da Estrela mountains predominate in this collection: greens, greys, honey and white in silhouettes and objects that epitomise a lifestyle in harmony with nature; like a birdwatcher.

THE BIRDWATCHERS
O observador de pássaros está liberto dos pormenores. Reconhecendo-se parte integrante da Natureza, ele age em intimidade com ela, numa relação de respeito que é tanto mais engrandecida pelo estímulo da sua actividade.
Mesmo com um alto padrão de vida, o luxo mais desejável continua hoje a ser a simples satisfação da solidão. O simples constatar desta continuidade entre si próprio e a Natureza.
É esta relação uma relação primordial para a aforestdesign que conduziu recentemente ao encontro com a marca Burel. Nascida na Serra da Estrela, no seio de um projecto social que compreende a dinamização da produção e a comercialização de produtos oriundos da Vila de Manteigas.
The Birdwatchers surge em forma de colecção de produtos, acessórios e algumas peças de vestuário em Burel, matéria-prima tradicional portuguesa, 100% lã, produzida na antiga fábrica Império, ainda em funcionamento na Vila de Manteigas.
Os tons da Serra predominam nesta colecção: verdes, cinzentos, mel, branco, em silhuetas e objectos que traduzem um estilo de vida em harmonia com a Natureza, como umbirdwatcher.
